Cadogan Café
Cadogan Café
A striking, spiral-shaped pavilion and terrace at Duke of York Square, establishing a contemporary landmark on the King’s Road
Location Chelsea, London
Commissioned by Cadogan Estates, BHS LA designed the public realm wrapping around the iconic restaurant pavilion.
To complement the building's innovative retractable glass facade - which lowers flush into the ground - the surrounding plaza is engineered as a seamless extension of the indoor dining space.
York stone paving was carefully selected to integrate the contemporary footprint into Chelsea’s historic urban grain.
Elevating the civic experience, an accessible public roof terrace functions as a green urban sanctuary.
The space is layered with fragrant Mediterranean planting that cascades over the pavilion edge, naturally concealing the perimeter balustrades.
